Nordic skins are designed to provide extra grip when skiing on steeper or more challenging slopes. They can be added to specific ski models, offering optimal traction during backcountry or touring adventures, similar to ski touring skins.

Are Nordic Skins easy to use?

Nordic skins are straightforward to attach and can be added to the ski base for enhanced grip, making them ideal for various backcountry conditions, from mild slopes to more rugged terrains.

How Do Cross-Country Skins Work?

Cross-country skins work by utilizing directional fibers that grip the snow when you push forward and release it when you glide. This provides the perfect balance of traction for climbing and smoothness for gliding. Skins are easy to apply and remove, typically attaching to your skis with adhesive backing or clips, and can be adjusted for the length of your skis. When you reach the top of your climb, you can simply remove the skins, fold them, and store them in your pack before skiing downhill.
